Pennine View Caravan and Camping Park
Pennine View caravan park first opened at Easter 1990 on a former railway goods yard. It adjoins and has direct access to the River Eden.
Kirkby Stephen is a small country town, roughly midway between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The park is equidistant (about 1 mile) from the town centre and it's railway station - on the famous Settle to Carlisle line.
This is an all touring park - with easy access from the main road.
The reception office is next to the house which is on the left on entering the site and distinguished by it's beautiful rockery.
The pitches are level - Gravel hard standings are around the perimeter with grass pitches in the central area. All have electric hook up points.
There is a small childrens play area with swings and a climbing frame slide.
The toilet block is faced with stone. There are individual wash cubicles with mirrors. Free hot showers, hair dryers and a deep sink in the ladies for baby bathing. A large disabled room in both the ladies and gents.
Dishwashing area under cover - Laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, ironing board and spin dryer (all metered).
Pennine View Caravan and Camping Park is rated a Visit England Five Star 'Caravan and Camping Park'.
We are open from Early March until Early November, please call 017683 71717
"Stayed here a few years ago originally. Returned this month and can say the site is as lovely as ever. Beautifully kept, large pitches. A short walk brings you to the small town of Kirby Stephen with plenty of place to eat, drink and shop. There is a Co-op at the far end of the town for all your grocery needs. Easy access to plenty of places to visit no matter which way you turn when you leave the park. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Showers and toilets lovely and clean."
